What is technical abuse
Technology can be used by abusers to harass, threaten, coerce, monitor, exploit, and violate. victims.
Examples of technology abuse include:
- Hacking into online accounts and restricting access to accounts or devices
- Pretending to be the victim online to harass their colleagues, friends and family
- Sending messages repeatedly through texts, messaging applications or email
- Monitoring computer, mobile phone software, hidden cameras or GPS tracking.
