What is physical abuse
Physical abuse is when a person uses physical force against you, which causes, or could cause, you harm.
This might include:
- scratching or biting
- pushing or shoving
- slapping or kicking
- choking or strangling
- throwing things
- force feeding or denying you food
- using weapons or objects that may hurt you
- physically restraint
- reckless or careless driving
It is important to remember their violent behaviour is always their responsibility, not yours. Abuse and violence are never acceptable.
